Collett '2884' 2-8-0 (Built 1940)
(Development of Churchward 2-8-0)

The Churchward '2800' class, introduced in 1903, were the first 2-8-0's in this country and were the mainstay of heavy long distance freight services on the Great Western.

The '2884' class, introduced in 1938, modified by C B Collett, had a number of alterations including outside steam pipes and side-window cabs.
