On Saturday and Sunday 29th & 30th December, the Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway celebrated the 60th anniversary of the formation of British Railways on 1st January 1948. They re-numbered their resident pannier tank (9682) to be No 9789, another example of the class that was allocated to Slough (81B) depot and was used to operate the Watlington branch. They also applied the early BRITISH RAILWAYS lettering to the tank sides to give a unique opportunity to view this style of livery from the early days of BR.
